Catching Up

Well clearly I'm not the best blogger, seeing as I haven't posted in three weeks. Sometimes I just think our life isn't that exciting so why would people want to read about, I don't have motivation to do it all the time or I don't have a clue what to write about. But I'm going to be selfish and say that its not about you and whether or not you think we are interesting. Like I said in my first blog post, this is a way for me and my husband to keep some sort of journal for us to read and remember everything we have been through, it may not be much now but one day it will be. So I guess since I haven't blogged in so long I should catch up on our life and the past few weeks and weekends. And don't you worry I have a lot of pictures to document it and show you.

So three weekends ago, I was able to participate in helping one of my friends get engaged to a beautiful lady! They are the cutest couple and have so much love for one another so of course I was willing to help. I had always wanted to help someone propose, so that I could sit in the bushes and take pictures and see her say yes, and watch their love start to grow eternally (that kinda makes me sound like a creep, sitting in the bushes and all, but hey I'm a sucker for love). He had his two sisters and I get a million candles, make her favorite dessert and get a lot of roses and set them up at a park by a river and bridge in the middle of a bunch of trees out in Provo canyon. It was BEAUTIFUL!! And of course she said YES!

Andy's work had a pumpkin decorating contest since we couldn't have carved pumpkins in the credit union or it would mold and get rotten and nobody wants that. So we went out and bought a perfectly round white pumpkin. And then we gave it The Nightmare Before Christmas theme and I drew on every side of the pumpkin. I'm not gonna lie I was pretty impressed with myself. And needless to say, we won. I'm not sure what we won but I know that we did! Honestly we probably just won a candy bar or something.

Two weekends ago we got together with a group of friends and went to Nightmare on 13th up in Salt Lake. It was a really fun time, the group we went with was a good group to go to a Haunted House with. A few of them get scared really easily and it was awesome. For me the lead up to the haunted house is always scarier than the actual haunted house but they are still fun to go to around this time of year.

This week I officially started my nanny job, I just love those babies. They are the cutest and they have the sweetest smiles. This week was Halloween week and we had a pretty good time. We carved a pretty sweet pumpkin, it was A LOT harder than I expected but I am happy with the way it turned out. I always have such a hard time deciding what to carve, I don't know why I seem to think its a huge life decision. The print we chose was a skull and we liked it. Everyone seemed to like our costumes at the party we went to. I always like when couples pair up on Halloween so I made Andy and I pair up too. Andy was a 70s detective and I was a prisoner, after we put our costumes on we realized Andy looked like Ron Burgundy from Anchorman and someone even thought we were role playing porn stars, I think that one was our favorite and we should have just stuck with it. The party was fun a lot of our closest friends were there and we haven't seen them in a while so it was a good time.

This past Friday we went to the Utah Basketball game and they won! It was a fun time, but then again anything I do with Andy is always fun to me.

Anyway I think that will do for this post, its a little long. I'll try to be a regular poster but no promises.

just some scenery from our Sunday drive
Sincerely,
the sargents
